MURPHY'S BULLIES

Sometimes the best things in life come when we least expect it...

That was exactly the case with Murphy's Bullies and Coffey. Coffey is not our first dog, and not even our first American Bully (although our hearts belonged to the XL before). And although I always played with the idea of my own breeding in my head, at the same time I said that it "must be based on something that I will stand behind 100%". However, I found my demands quite high and animals are not machines, so for years it was just a thought in my head. To this day, I believe that the world is full of dogs and shelters are bursting at the seams, that's why breed breeding should not be about "breeding dogs", but about targeted breeding that makes sense, built on truly full quality individuals.

When our son was a toddler, we only had big dogs and one little old dog around us. I missed a dog that to make a couple for a small child - one where you don't have to worry that the child will throw to the other side of the room when he wags his tail, but at the same time strong enough to take all kinds of child nudges. A dog that likes people and children, their attention. He is cuddly, but at the same time he can tolerate a pack of other dogs and other animals for that matter. Because I was to move in the circle of American Bully XL, my eye squinted in the direction. For the smaller ones. I used to claim that one day I would buy a pocket bully for retirement when I don't have the strength. And during one such non-committal peek, I came across a photo of a dog that made my heart beat violently. And so I wrote to the breeder just like that, tentatively. It was the Romanian kennel Dream Bully Romania. It was all in the covid era, when you couldn't go abroad. I explained to the breeder that I was looking for a family dog with a calm personality. He wrote back to me that the one I had chosen was quite active, but that he had exactly the kind of dog I was looking for - his brother. And that was Coffey. The breeder sent me a video of him and he was really really nice and sweet. That's when I made a desitions myself that I would focus on character, it's a priority. That I'm not looking for a pocket to breed, or a champion, but a dog for the family.

This is what I would like thank breeders and now friends from the kennel Dream Bully Romania – To Cristian and Catalina Iancu. Everything they said and promised was fulfilled not only to the letter, but Coffey absolutely exceeded all my expectations.

Coffey arrived for us due to covid restrictions with the transport service and immediately fell into our arms. I swear that the kind of character I dreamed of for a family and a child is what I got. All our dogs take our son just fine, and when they've had enough of him, they just pick themselves up and go away. But Coffey can never have enough. The classic image of a typical day in the garden is that of the dogs lounging around in our vicinity, but Coffey is constantly chasing after us or our son and assisting him with everything. What I really like about him is that even though our son is small, he really takes it. He welcomes him as another adult, wants to be petted by him, submits to him. And this despite the fact that he is currently the boss of the entire dog pack, although he is the smallest in it.

I admit that as a supporter of doing health tests for dogs, I didn't have high expectations for pocket. Emotionally, I thought that when there are so many problems in dog breeding in general, that these pocket types can't be doing very well - their body structure is just extreme. Actually his health results were quite a shock to me - in the best sense of the word.

When the exhibitions started again after the covid period, we set out. Coffey's a successful runway show was a moment for me that I watched with my mouth wide open. Sure, his bloodline is beautiful, full of legends, his father is a champion. But it was no priority so I didn't really have any expectations in this direction, it was an incredibly beautiful surprise (and every time it works, it still does).

And suddenly he was here. A dog I could stand behind 100%. A dog that, from my point of view, has everything a breeding dog should have. A dog that will be an asset to the breed in my eyes.

And so here is. Our small family kennel from Moravia in the Czech Republic. The name of the kennel take the legacy of our first dog and lifedoglove - Murphy. We are currently offering American Bully Pocket Dream Bully Romania Coffey of Murphy's Bullies to stud and we will see if we get lucky with something else over time. We do not want to discount our claims.
